Upon arrival at Luxor International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our representative. Begin your sightseeing tour with visits to the impressive Karnak Temple Complex and the beautifully illuminated Luxor Temple, connected in ancient times by the Avenue of Sphinxes. Wake up early for an optional hot-air balloon ride over Luxor. Travel to the launch site before sunrise and enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the Nile Valley, Luxor’s temples, agricultural fields and surrounding desert as the sun rises over the landscape. After landing, return to the cruise boat for breakfast. Later, visit the West Bank of Luxor, including the magnificent Valley of the Kings, where many pharaohs were buried. Continue to the impressive Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Stop to admire the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Return to the cruise for lunch and begin sailing south toward Edfu. Enjoy a leisurely morning on the cruise after breakfast. Relax on deck, enjoy the swimming pool or admire the changing landscapes along the Nile. After sailing to Kom Ombo, visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek and the falcon-headed god Horus. Early in the morning, enjoy an optional excursion to the magnificent Temples of Abu Simbel, built by Pharaoh Ramses II. The temples are famous for their colossal statues and remarkable relocation project following the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Return to Aswan and enjoy some free time in the afternoon. Later, take a boat trip to a colorful Nubian Village, where you can experience local traditions, see distinctive Nubian houses and learn about the culture of the Nubian people. After breakfast, check out from the cruise. Visit the beautiful Philae Temple, located on Agilkia Island and dedicated to the goddess Isis. Reach the temple by boat and explore its impressive pylons, columns and ancient reliefs.
